Summary

Under the direction of the department manager and supervision of a Charge Nurse, demonstrates proficiency in administering the fundamentals of the nursing process, contributes to the nursing assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. Develops and participates in the care plan of the patient. Employees in this position will not be primarily assigned to a specific unit; the expectation is to be assigned to a unit when they report to work.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Nevada or current Interim Permit
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for healthcare providers
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) for healthcare providers at time of hire.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire
  • Acute Care experience required. Must have a minimum of 2 years acute care experience and/or a minimum of one year in critical care required.
  • Must be willing to float to ICU, TCU, Emergency Department, Emergency Observation Unit (EDO), Telemetry, Medical Oncology, Pediatric, Women & Children, Surgical/Ortho, BHS, and Outpatient Procedures.

Preferred:

  • CHEMO, CEN, CCRN, PCCN certifications preferred.
