Role: The Registered Nurse (RN), Medical Surgical Float Pool, is a professional caregiver responsible for assessing, managing, and providing comprehensive nursing care across various Medical Surgical units. They collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and evaluate patient care plans, ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes.
Responsibilities: Conducts thorough assessments, formulates individualized care plans incorporating evidence-based practices, and executes nursing interventions such as medication administration, patient education, and discharge planning. Provides specialized care for high-risk patients, manages restraints and pain, and recognizes changes in patient conditions to take appropriate action. Ensures safety, infection control, and compliance with policies, while delivering service excellence through effective communication and respectful interactions with patients, families, and colleagues. Participates in performance improvement initiatives, maintains current licensure and certifications, and promotes a collaborative, professional work environment.
Qualifications & Skills: Must hold a valid RN license in the applicable state, with required certifications such as BLS. Demonstrates technical proficiency, adaptability, professionalism, and strong communication skills. Committed to high-quality, patient-centered care and continuous professional development.
