They delegate tasks, manage operational and clinical functions, and ensure staff accountability while promoting professionalism and adherence to legal, ethical, and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities include mediating conflicts, guiding staff development, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and activating emergency protocols when needed.
Qualifications include a current RN license, BLS certification, relevant clinical experience, mentoring skills, and a BSN (or obtaining one within four years). Preferred candidates have at least one year of clinical nursing experience.
