Role Overview This position involves providing independent, comprehensive nursing care in a clinical setting, demonstrating awareness of all relevant aspects of patient situations. The nurse manages routine and complex care, develops long-term plans, and delegates tasks to other care providers to ensure effective clinical management.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver nursing care following the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Address patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs in accordance with practice standards.
- Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided accurately.
- Assess learning needs and educate patients, families, and caregivers, while identifying issues and resources.
Qualifications And Skills
- Preferably hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred.
- Possess a valid RN license in the state of employment or a compact license.
- Must be BLS certified.
Additional Details The role requires working overnight shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM in a full-time capacity, focusing on patient-centered, independent nursing practice with ongoing professional development.
