Role: The RN Clinical Nurse provides high-quality, safe, and patient-centered care in an acute care orthopedic surgical setting. They collaborate within an interdisciplinary team, utilizing evidence-based practices and upholding professional standards and ethics.
Responsibilities
- Performing the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—tailored to individual patient needs.
- Delivering relationship-based, culturally competent care, engaging patients and families through effective communication and education.
- Coordinating and documenting safe, quality care while fostering teamwork and respect within diverse clinical environments.
- Participating in performance improvement, research, and evidence-based practice initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Supporting professional development by mentoring colleagues and maintaining required competencies and certifications.
- Contributing to protocol development and resource management for optimal care delivery.
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate or Bachelor of Nursing (preferred).
- Current RN licensure (single-state or multi-state compact).
- BLS certification required.
- Less than one year of clinical experience or completion of accredited nursing program preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and effective communication skills.
