Registered Nurse: $2717/Week

• Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg
• Location: Urbana, IL
• Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts
• Hours: 36 hours/week
• Contract: 13 Weeks

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to an assigned group of patients.
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments.
• Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate individualized plans of care.
• Monitor vital signs and recognize changes in patient condition.
• Perform and document nursing interventions and patient care activities.
• Complete admission and discharge procedures.
• Provide patient education and document care according to Med/Surg standards.
• Participate in bedside shift reporting and ensure accurate communication between healthcare team members.
• Delegate appropriate patient care responsibilities to HCTs and verify completion.
• Maintain patient safety through fall precautions, pressure ulcer prevention, isolation precautions, and safe patient ambulation.
• Respond promptly to patient call lights and address patient needs appropriately.
• Use critical thinking and nursing judgment to identify and respond to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Assist with efficient admission, discharge, and testing processes for Observation patients.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation throughout each shift.
• Follow all departmental competencies, procedures, and safety standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience.
• ASN/Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• Current Illinois RN License in good standing.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
