Registered Behavior Technician (BT)

About This Role

Working with children to develop communication, problem-solving, and social skills is the core of this role, which supports children with autism or developmental delays through structured, play-based activities. This position offers a valuable opportunity to explore or start a career in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and it suits compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic individuals who want to make a real impact.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one behavior support through fun, individualized activities
• Implement behavior intervention plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
• Collect and record data on client progress accurately
• Communicate regularly with families to provide updates and support
• Participate in ongoing training, team meetings, and supervision sessions

Requirements

• Active RBT/ABAT/BCAT certification is required for this position
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 18 years of age
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
• CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain during onboarding)
• TB test (within 90 days), MMR & Varicella Immunization, and a Pre-employment Physical (within the past year)
• Background check (FBI & DOJ)
• Positive, enthusiastic attitude and a passion for working with children
• 6 months of experience working or volunteering with individuals with intellectual disabilities
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
• Reliability and a willingness to work with a variety of clients

Nice to have:

• Current student or recent graduate in Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Sociology, Biology, or related field
• Spanish-speaking is a plus
