About the Role

As the Regional EHS Lead, you will spearhead the development and execution of comprehensive safety strategies across our North American footprint. You will act as the primary subject matter expert, driving a culture of proactive risk mitigation and ensuring seamless regulatory compliance to protect our workforce and operational continuity.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the implementation of corporate safety policies and programs to ensure a unified, high-standard safety environment across all sites.
  • Maintain rigorous compliance with OSHA, provincial, and federal regulations while managing all injury tracking, OSHA 300 logs, and incident reporting.
  • Optimize third-party compliance platforms like ISNetworld, Avetta, and Veriforce to meet complex customer safety requirements.
  • Lead the end-to-end management of workers’ compensation claims, partnering with insurance carriers to facilitate effective injury management and return-to-work initiatives.
  • Conduct facility audits and site assessments to identify hazards, drive corrective actions, and promote continuous safety improvement.
  • Facilitate comprehensive training programs, including emergency preparedness, equipment safety, and new hire orientations, to foster a culture of safety awareness.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance programs, including forklifts and specialized machinery, to ensure operational safety and reliability.

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience managing EHS programs within multi-site industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Deep expertise in OSHA standards, workers’ compensation administration, and safety analytics.
  • Proven track record of managing contractor compliance systems and insurance-related safety documentation.
  • Ability to travel periodically to support regional facility operations and safety initiatives.

Preferred Skills

  • Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, or CHST.
  • Advanced OSHA training credentials (e.g., OSHA 30 or 500/510).
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating with insurance brokers and managing complex claims.
