Role Description
The Regional Director is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading GIFT IFIH’s growth and operations within a defined geographic region. This position oversees regional strategy, builds and manages relationships with fintech startups, corporate partners, investors, and ecosystem stakeholders, and ensures alignment with the organization’s mission of accelerating innovation. Day-to-day activities include identifying and onboarding promising fintech ventures, coordinating partnership and investment opportunities, organizing and supporting regional programs or events, and monitoring performance metrics for the region. The Regional Director collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop and refine regional initiatives, provides strategic guidance to startups and partners, and represents GIFT IFIH in external meetings, forums, and industry engagements.
Qualifications
- Experience in regional or business leadership roles, with a track record in strategy development, stakeholder management, and ecosystem building.
- Strong knowledge of fintech, financial services, or innovation-driven industries, and familiarity with startup and investment landscapes.
- Proven ability to develop partnerships with corporations, investors, and community organizations, including negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders across cultures and time zones.
- Demonstrated project and program management skills, including planning, execution, performance tracking, and continuous improvement.
- Comfort working in a remote, fast-paced environment, with strong self-management, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or similar) is an advantage.
- Prior experience in incubators, accelerators, venture capital, corporate innovation, or ecosystem development within India or similar markets is highly beneficial.
