About the role
Seeking a Regional Aquatics Business Director to provide strategic leadership for Aquatics Programming and Health & Safety initiatives.
Job Description Working closely with the Executive Director of Aquatics Programming, this role focuses on training systems, certification management, safety compliance, and staff development-ensuring consistent, high-quality aquatic experiences for all.
- Lead regional Aquatics operations, ensuring consistent programs, pool schedules, and safety standards.
- Build and maintain lifeguard and instructor pipelines; organize certification courses and track compliance.
- Provide leadership, training, and support to full- and part-time staff using adult learning best practices.
- Conduct aquatic audits and Learn to Swim quality assurance reviews.
- Partner with community organizations and represent the YMCA at community events.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and fiscal stewardship for Aquatics programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred; minimum 4 years of aquatics experience, including management.
- Trainer-level certifications (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office and aquatics/sports software.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel between branches.
