Experienced Referral Processing Representative $16.25/hr 3 month assignment Contract Location: Houston, TX 77024 Shift : Mon - Fri 8:30a-5p
Job Summary We are seeking a Experienced Referral Processing - Patient Access Representative for a temporary 3 month contract position. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of current experience with Referral Processing. Some hospital or doctor's office setting helpful. Possess strong multitasking and communication skills. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring a smooth patient experience by handling scheduling, insurance verification, referral experience, while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Current 2 years of experience in a Call Center setting
- Ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient typing and keyboarding skills
- Current TB Skin Test or Chest X-ray (or willing to get)
Principal Accountabilities
- Referral Processing
- Demographic & Financial Information: Collect and enter demographic, insurance, and financial data with a high level of accuracy.
- Form Explanation & Signature Collection: Clearly explain required forms and obtain necessary patient or guarantor signatures.
- Insurance Verification: Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, ensuring all authorizations and notifications are completed within required timeframes.
- Account Monitoring & Resolution: Review and resolve patient account issues in a timely manner.
- Professional Communication: Maintain effective communication with physicians, staff, insurance companies, patients, and families.
- EPIC EMR experience preferred.
