Recreational therapists complete assessments, develop plans, and carry out interventions for patients with psychosocial risk factors. This role involves conducting assessments of social needs, evaluating coping skills and support systems, and identifying barriers to treatment and discharge plans. The therapist will also facilitate therapeutic group therapy and provide crisis intervention.
