About the role
Duties
Demonstrates and sells merchandise directly to customers when technical knowledge of the product is required. Decorates display areas; develops proposals for displaying merchandise including materials. Plans and conducts recurring patron activities such as bingo tournaments, and related activities. Assists patrons in the use of the facilities. Provides safety instruction and demonstrates use of the equipment used for the gaming environment. Circulates among patrons and receives and resolves customer complaints. Carries out specialized programs for bingo players. Demonstrates new techniques. Teaches and plans related functions (e.g. bingo games (paper, small games), computer bingo, etc). In a patron usage facility, circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory; receives and resolves customer complaints; provides information and general instructions on the use of equipment, facilities and gaming machinery. Routine work is performed independently.
Assists with and operates the gaming equipment that randomly selects the numbers. Assists patrons with the use of the electronic computers and paper game cards for bingo. Verifies the bingo winners by computer input and/or review of paper cards. May be required to operate no-computerized bingo ball catcher when electronic equipment is not available for game play to continue.
Provides a positive and exciting environment by creating an atmosphere through engaging and joyful delivery of bingo calling.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Six (6) months to two (2) years work experience with bingo gaming equipment and programs as related to the duties described above. Work experience in a customer service focused environment.
