Definition/Primary Function
- The Recovery Specialist functions in a complimentary or assistive role to all members of the healthcare team and carries out individual duties in accordance with policies and procedures of Berkshire Medical Center. The Recovery Specialist oversees and accompanies clients in various program activities to ensure conformance with schedules, milieu standards, program activities and policies and may deliver psych-educational groups.

Position Qualifications (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
- Experience:
- High school diploma with specific substance abuse treatment training and education preferred.
- Education and Training:
- Substance Abuse training and education. Associates degree in Human Services preferred.
- License, Certification & Registration:
- Drivers License preferred.
- CPR Certified within 3 months of hire.
- Other Requirements:
- Two years secretarial or healthcare related college coursework required. One year relevant experience can be substituted for coursework.
