Receptionist

About This Role

This receptionist position serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors at a community health center, providing excellent customer service and supporting daily front office operations. The role plays a key part in creating a positive patient experience while supporting clinic flow and access to care.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, answer phones, and schedule appointments
• Register patients and accurately enter demographic information
• Collect patient payments and maintain accurate records
• Assist patients with forms, services, and referrals to community resources
• Support back-office staff to help address clinical quality measure gaps
• Maintain a clean, organized front desk and patient waiting areas

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous medical or dental front office experience preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
• Ability to manage a multi-line phone system and basic office equipment
