Receiver/Warehouse Operator

Position Summary

• Under direct supervision, this role is responsible for the receipt and storage of incoming materials and supplies.
• The position ensures all receiving and internal movement transactions are accurately entered into the organization's ERP system, following standard operating procedures and compliance with applicable FDA and cGMP regulations.
• The role also involves managing warehouse workflow to meet operational demand at a regulated manufacturing site.
• During plant startup, the work hours will align with core business hours, with shift schedules subject to change based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all receiving-related transactions within the ERP system (SAP) accurately.
• Coordinate the receipt of raw materials and supplies with designated carriers.
• Operate forklifts, manual pallet jacks, and powered pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
• Operate organizational vehicles such as box trucks between facilities.
• Complete all required quality management system (QMS) training prior to performing tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant warehouse environment.
• Follow all safety procedures, reporting hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately.
• Support workflow execution to ensure warehouse operations meet demand.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to overall warehouse efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education/experience.
• 2-4 years of experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Prior forklift experience with the ability to obtain necessary certifications.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a DOT medical card.
• Proficiency in English for communication and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic computer skills, including a working knowledge of ERP systems, with the ability to learn warehouse management modules.
• Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks effectively, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with keen attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting loads up to 50 lbs and operating power equipment safely.
• Familiarity with ergonomic lifting techniques.
