An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a talented Real Estate Finance Associate to join a highly regarded and expanding real estate capital markets practice. This role offers the chance to work on sophisticated commercial real estate financing transactions while collaborating with experienced attorneys on matters involving some of the most prominent participants in the real estate sector.

The successful candidate will play a key role in advising clients on a broad range of commercial real estate finance and investment transactions. Responsibilities will include representing lenders in the origination of mortgage loans and structured debt facilities, handling workouts and restructurings of distressed real estate assets, and supporting acquisitions, dispositions, and other complex real estate transactions.

This position is ideal for an attorney seeking meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, and a clear path for professional development within a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on commercial real estate financing transactions and investment matters.
  • Represent lenders in mortgage loan originations and structured finance transactions.
  • Assist with loan workouts, restructurings, and distressed asset matters.
  • Support acquisitions, dispositions, and other commercial real estate transactions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex transaction documents.
  • Work closely with clients and senior attorneys on sophisticated deal matters.

Qualifications

  • JD required.
  • Previous experience working in a law firm is required.
  • 4–8 years of experience in real estate finance or related transactional real estate matters.
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Outstanding academic credentials.
  • Experience gained at a large regional, national, or international law firm is highly valued.
  • Licensed, or eligible to become licensed, in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
