About This Role
Building the Habbit consumer mobile app, which connects healthier shopping with a growing retail ecosystem, is the core of this role. This position involves taking ownership of mobile app development, frontend implementation, testing, releases, and production fixes, working closely with the Senior Full Stack / Platform Developer.
Responsibilities
- Implement phone number and OTP-based sign-in using the agreed authentication service
- Manage secure sessions, token storage, and logout functionality
- Develop home screens, categories, product catalogue, product details, and search
- Build a reliable shopping cart
- Integrate Shopify Storefront API and an approved, tested checkout flow
- Implement loading, error, and empty states
- Handle connectivity issues and network failures
- Integrate basic analytics and crash reporting
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
- Test the application across Android and iOS devices
- Prepare release candidates and resolve QA issues
- Support Google Play Store and Apple App Store submissions when dependencies and approvals are ready
Requirements
- 3–5 years of hands-on React Native development experience with TypeScript
- Practical Expo build and deployment experience
- At least one production mobile app personally shipped to Google Play Store or Apple App Store, with a verifiable link and clear evidence of contribution
- Strong understanding of React hooks, navigation, and state management
- Experience with typed API integration, caching, and offline-tolerant data fetching
- REST API integration, OTP authentication, secure token handling, and safe mobile storage
- Push notifications, deep links, and familiarity with FCM/APNs
- Ability to implement Figma designs accurately using reusable components
- Knowledge of accessibility fundamentals and mobile performance optimization
- Experience with unit/integration testing, GitHub pull requests, debugging, and independent problem-solving
- Can independently develop and ship polished React Native features
- Have experience delivering and maintaining a live mobile application
- Can explain the architecture and your personal contribution to a production project
- Are comfortable debugging issues and delivering production-ready code
- Can work full-time from the Chembur, Mumbai office
- Enjoy building a consumer-facing product from its early stages
