Description Under supervision of the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the Registered Dietitian collaborates with healthcare team to provide medical nutrition therapy to adult patients. RD will attend rounds, work with the interdisciplinary team, provide nutrition support (both enteral and parenteral) and provide education to patient's caregivers and staff. RD will oversee the activities of the diet technicians. Identifies patients at various nutrition risk levels based on criteria outlined by department. Assesses nutrition needs, identifies nutrient requirements, and nutrition intervention with regard to age and disease-specific needs of patients.

Develops, implements and records in EHR the nutrition care plan for all assigned patients. Fosters continuity of care among all phases across the continuum of care. Continuously evaluates and monitors the effectiveness and outcomes of medical nutrition therapy intervention. Manages the delivery of nutrition care in assigned units. Actively participates in medical rounds. Participates in department's special projects, performance improvement activities, and research.

Provides nutrition lectures and in-services to nutrition and medical staff as assigned. Collaborates with Diet Techs and mentors dietetic interns/students. Actively assesses, evaluates, and maintains professional development and competency related to assigned units. Assists with foodservice projects to improve patient satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Dietitians must possess the equivalent of a Bachelor's Degree in Foods and Nutrition/Dietetics and have completed an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics internship.
  • Must be a Registered Dietitian (RD).
  • Two (2) years experience in an acute care setting with comparable acuity level.
  • Applicants for positions in the Dietitian series are expected to possess the experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CNSC Certification.
  • Master's degree.
  • Demonstrated experience using EPIC.

  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $108,117 - $108,117 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $51.78 - $51.78
