Radiology Typist

About This Role

This role involves transcribing radiologists' dictations for various imaging reports and ensuring their accuracy and timely completion. The typist will also manage patient records and handle administrative tasks within the radiology department.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe radiologists' dictations for X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography, and other imaging reports
• Review reports for grammar, spelling, formatting, and medical terminology accuracy
• Upload and update reports in RIS/PACS/HIS systems
• Coordinate with radiologists regarding corrections, amendments, or clarifications
• Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of medical information
• Prioritize urgent and emergency reports for timely completion
• Track pending reports and follow up for report completion
• Print, scan, file, and distribute finalized reports as required
• Handle administrative tasks related to the radiology department
• Adhere to hospital quality standards and documentation policies
