Role Overview This position involves performing diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily MRI, in an advanced modality technologist capacity within an operating room setting. The technologist prepares patients and equipment, conducts studies independently, and manages daily shift operations, including workflow and troubleshooting. They serve as a clinical resource, mentor staff and students, and act as a liaison between the team and supervisor. Responsibilities include problem-solving, assisting with difficult exams, and ensuring quality control.
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate degree or higher in a related field
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R))
- 2+ years of Radiology experience; MRI or operating room imaging experience preferred
- Licenses/certifications such as IEMA, RTR, CT, MR, and others as appropriate
- Strong technical knowledge of MRI machines, specifically Siemens systems
- Leadership skills for supervising and mentoring team members
