Role Overview: The Radiology Technologist performs general diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating patients. This PRN position involves working independently in various settings, including emergency rooms and operating rooms, using Siemens, Samsung, and Carestream equipment. Responsibilities include preparing patients and equipment, conducting radiographic exams, and handling portable and specialized imaging tasks. The role requires excellent customer service, professionalism, and technical skills.
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate degree or higher in radiologic technology
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) and ARRT registration
- Licenses such as IEMA (excluding MRI) preferred
- Experience in radiology, with 2+ years preferred
- CPR certification is a plus
Key Duties
- Prepare patients and equipment for imaging procedures
- Perform radiographic exams independently and in emergency situations
- Assist with portable exams and occasional work in the operating room
- Work with advanced imaging technologies and provide quality diagnostic images
