About the role
Role Overview: This position performs a variety of imaging procedures, including CT and X-Rays, with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment such as X-Ray, CT, CR reader, and PACS.
- Assist physicians, nurses, and staff by providing technical support and patient care.
- Perform imaging exams following policies, procedures, and regulations, notifying physicians of results.
- Collect laboratory samples, perform lab testing, and maintain documentation in paper and electronic formats.
- Conduct routine maintenance, quality control, proficiency testing, and recordkeeping for all imaging and lab activities.
- Perform basic clinical procedures under medical supervision as needed.
- Maintain supplies and perform duties as an ER Technician when required.
- Travel to facility locations and participate in staff meetings.
Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or GED, graduation from an AMA-approved Radiology Technology program, certification as a radiologic technologist, ARRT registration in radiography (and CT preferred), and BLS certification.
Preferred experience includes 2+ years in radiologic/imaging, with at least 1 year in CT and ER settings. Proficiency with imaging hardware/software, strong communication skills, and compliance with state-specific clearances are required.
