Radiology Technician

About This Role

Delivering safe, efficient diagnostic imaging services is the core of this role, which involves producing high-quality radiographs and maintaining patient records. This position suits a radiologic technician with a patient-first attitude who thrives in a fast-paced orthopedic clinic.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a professional, friendly manner and explain procedures clearly
• Produce high-quality radiographs to support accurate diagnoses
• Maintain and update patient EMRs; provide copies of images upon request
• Ensure images are uploaded correctly into PACS
• Perform equipment checks, cleaning, and minor maintenance; arrange repairs when needed
• Monitor radiation safety, protecting patients and staff at all times
• Maintain proper levels of radiology supplies and follow departmental safety protocols
• Follow infection-control, OSHA, and departmental policies to maintain a safe environment
• Assist with patient positioning and transfers to capture optimal images
• Support smooth clinic operations by balancing quality standards with patient care needs
• Handle occasional high-stress situations requiring quick, accurate decisions

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED required
• BMO certification
• BLS certification
• State licensure
• Knowledge of medical terminology, diagnostic imaging practices, anatomy, radiographic safety, and equipment handling
• Strong customer service, attention to detail, communication, and analytical abilities

Nice to have:

• 1+ year in urgent care or patient care setting
• EMR knowledge
