About the role
Role Overview The Radiology Technologist provides high-quality imaging services following physician orders, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general and specialty radiographic procedures, positioning patients appropriately while respecting their comfort and ability.
- Evaluate image quality and ensure proper identification, adhering to safety standards and infection control policies.
- Accurately input patient information into electronic medical records and RIS, following identification protocols.
- Monitor patients during procedures, respond to contrast reactions, and communicate results effectively.
- Maintain radiation safety, perform equipment checks, and contribute to quality assurance activities.
- Assist in training new staff, coordinate workflow, and support operational policies.
- Provide excellent customer service, communicate clearly with patients, physicians, and colleagues, and uphold confidentiality.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington) and Basic Life Support certification.
- Strong knowledge of radiographic procedures, safety protocols, and infection control.
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics and geriatrics.
Preferred Experience: One year of direct experience with diagnostic procedures.
