Role Overview: Perform imaging procedures in accordance with standards, policies, and organizational values.
Key Responsibilities
- Review patient history, physician orders, and schedule appointments. Educate patients about procedures and equipment to ensure understanding and cooperation.
- Prepare and administer contrast media or medications when required, monitoring patient condition throughout.
- Prepare equipment, select appropriate imaging parameters, ensure safety standards, and perform quality control. Troubleshoot equipment issues as needed.
- Position patients, execute imaging procedures, analyze image quality, and take corrective actions to optimize results. Transmit images and may collaborate with students.
- Apply critical thinking and work independently in a fast-paced environment to ensure accurate imaging and patient safety.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and hold relevant state licensure if required.
- Current BLS/CPR certification through recognized organizations.
- Strong attention to safety, quality, and patient education, with the ability to work independently and adapt quickly.
