Job Summary Operates x-ray equipment to produce diagnostic radiographs, positions and instructs patients, adjusts equipment, and determines proper exposure settings for each exam.
Responsibilities
- Performs screening procedures and explains exams to patients.
- Prepares and positions equipment and patients for imaging.
- Monitors patient safety during procedures.
- Produces and documents diagnostic images, reports findings to physicians, and verifies exams on PACS.
- Performs additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- ARRT-R certification required; Radiologic Tech license in practice state (CA or HI) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Fluoroscopy license in the state of employment (CA) required within 6 months.
- Associate's Degree in radiologic technology preferred.
