Role Overview: Performs daily imaging and delivers prescribed therapeutic radiation doses to patients safely and accurately, utilizing technical expertise in equipment, clinical setup, and anatomical landmarks.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure precise delivery of radiation therapy while maintaining patient safety and confidentiality.
- Interact effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members.
- Document patient care accurately in treatment records and charts.
- Assess and report patient's physical and emotional status to relevant staff.
- Adapt care to meet diverse patient needs across all age groups.
Qualifications & Skills
- Completion of an accredited radiation therapy program.
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Knowledge of treatment setup, anatomical landmarks, and safety protocols.
- Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team and provide compassionate patient care.
Additional Requirements: Adherence to HIPAA, safety standards, and confidentiality policies. Certification and licensure as required by state regulations. Pre-employment screening and a drug-free workplace policy apply.
