Job Summary Provides ionizing radiation therapy to patients following physician prescriptions, ensuring safety and accuracy during treatment.
Responsibilities Include
- Preparing treatment rooms and equipment according to prescriptions and patient needs.
- Delivering prescribed radiation doses while observing safety protocols.
- Explaining procedures to patients and monitoring for reactions or complications.
- Maintaining detailed treatment records and patient charts.
- Supervising and evaluating clinical students' practical skills.
- Performing additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Required certifications: ARRT-T and TRT.
- Preferred education: Bachelor's and Master's degrees in radiological technology.
- Experience in radiologic technology is preferred.
- Must hold a state fluoroscopy permit (preferred), CPR/BLS certification (preferred), and facility-specific BLS certification.
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety, patient care, and record-keeping.
