Role Description The Radiation Therapist role is a PRN, on-site position based in Beavercreek, OH. In this role, the Radiation Therapist delivers prescribed radiation treatments to patients, ensuring accurate setup, positioning, and operation of radiation therapy equipment. Daily responsibilities include reviewing treatment plans and dosimetry calculations, verifying patient identity, monitoring patient responses, and maintaining detailed treatment records. The Radiation Therapist collaborates closely with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, nurses, and other care team members to support safe, effective, and compassionate patient care. The role also involves adhering to radiation safety protocols, participating in quality assurance procedures, and educating patients about their treatment process.

Qualifications

  • Certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy, with current and valid credentials.
  • Strong knowledge of Radiation Safety and Dosimetry, including safe operation of therapy equipment and accurate application of treatment parameters.
  • Understanding of Radiation and Medicine principles relevant to oncology care and therapeutic treatment planning.
  • Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy or Radiologic Technology program; associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Radiation Therapist in Ohio, as required.
  • Attention to detail, strong technical aptitude, and proficiency with electronic medical records and treatment planning systems.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support patients and families in a respectful, culturally sensitive manner.
  • Commitment to teamwork, professional ethics, continuous learning, and adherence to institutional and regulatory standards.
