About This Role
This role as a Radiation Therapist at Emanuel Medical Center involves performing all clinical aspects of radiation therapy under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist and supervision of the center director. You will treat, communicate, and interact respectfully with patients across all age groups, including those with special physical, emotional, and psychological needs. The therapist will also contribute to achieving the center's goals and ensuring continuous quality of services.
Responsibilities
- Perform all clinical aspects of Radiation Therapy
- Treat, communicate, and respectfully interact with adult, older adult, and occasional infant through adolescent patients
- Work effectively with patients with special physical, emotional and/or psychological needs
- Assist in the development and achievement of goals at the center
- Ensure the continual quality of services provided
Requirements
- Successful completion of educational program leading to registration as a Radiation Therapy Technologist
- Current certification with the California Department of Public Health as a Radiation Therapist required
- BLS certification within six months of hire
Nice to have:
- Current Registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology
- 1-2 Years experience
