Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Quantity Surveyor – Civil role based in Kohuwala. The Quantity Surveyor will prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs), undertake measurements, and support tendering, procurement, and contract administration for civil engineering projects. Responsibilities include monitoring project costs, preparing cost plans and budgets, evaluating variations and claims, and issuing regular cost reports to project stakeholders. The role involves close coordination with engineering, project management, and site teams to ensure cost-effective solutions, compliance with contractual terms, and alignment with project timelines. The Quantity Surveyor will also assist in value engineering, risk assessment, and continuous improvement of cost management practices.

Qualifications

• Strong cost control and cost management skills, with the ability to monitor budgets and manage financial risks.
• Proficiency in preparing, reviewing, and updating BOQs and related measurement documentation for civil works.
• Experience in cost planning, including estimating, budgeting, and forecasting throughout project lifecycles.
• Ability to produce accurate and timely cost reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
• Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with standard forms of contracts and construction industry practices in Sri Lanka and the region.
• Competence in relevant QS software, MS Excel, and other project documentation tools.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Prior experience in large-scale civil or MEP-integrated projects will be an advantage.
