Quantity Surveyor - Civil

About This Role

The Quantity Surveyor - Civil prepares bill of quantities, detailed cost estimates, and conducts rate analysis for civil and structural projects. This role involves verifying contractor measurements and managing variations and claims while ensuring effective cost control and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Prepare BOQs, quantity take-offs, and detailed cost estimates for civil and structural projects.
• Conduct rate analysis, costing, and budget estimation.
• Verify contractor measurements, bills, and work quantities.
• Manage variations, deviations, claims, and change orders.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, and cost commitments.
• Support tendering, quotation evaluation, and commercial negotiations.
• Review civil and structural drawings for quantity and scope accuracy.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and project teams.
• Prepare project cost MIS, reports, and cost tracking statements.
• Ensure effective cost control and commercial compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Relevant experience in civil and structural projects.
• Proficiency in cost estimation software.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
