Quality Engineer

About This Role

This Quality Engineer role supports day-to-day manufacturing operations at the Jacksonville IOL manufacturing site. The individual will build a strong network with line supervisors, technicians, and engineers to address opportunities within the assigned manufacturing line or quality system process. The role involves planning, conducting, and directing engineering projects or studies that require general technical knowledge, applying basic engineering principles and practices within assigned areas.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary Quality Assurance associate supporting day-to-day manufacturing operations
• Create a strong network base with line supervisor(s), technicians, and engineers to address opportunities in the assigned manufacturing line or quality system process
• Plan, conduct, and direct engineering projects or studies requiring general technical knowledge
• Apply basic engineering principles and practices within assigned areas
• Utilize basic Quality Engineering tools and practices to support the effective and efficient development, transfer, and maintenance of products/processes throughout the product lifecycle
• Utilize basic Quality Engineering principles and problem-solving skills to improve and maintain products/processes aligned with the overall Quality and Business vision
• Utilize appropriate risk management tools to prevent unanticipated failure modes and improve capability of processes
• Adhere to environmental policy, procedures, and support department environmental objectives
