About the role
About The Role: We are seeking a Quality Engineer with aerospace experience to support quality assurance activities across production and transition projects. This role will be responsible for ensuring product and process compliance, driving quality improvements, and leading quality-related tasks during project transitions. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and customers to support smooth launch and transfer activities.
What You Will Do:
- Lead quality activities for aerospace transition projects from planning through implementation
- Support new product and process transfers, including readiness reviews and risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and aerospace quality requirements
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, control plans, inspection plans, and related records
- Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions for internal and external issues
- Conduct product and process audits, inspections, and verification activities
- Work with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and support on-time project launch
- Review drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to confirm compliance
- Support supplier quality activities and follow up on nonconformances as needed
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to reduce defects and improve process capability
- Support customer visits, audits, and quality reviews
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing, or related field preferred
- 3 to 5 years of quality engineering experience in aerospace or a highly regulated manufacturing environment
- Experience supporting transition projects, new product introduction, or product/process transfer
- Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and FAI requirements
- Knowledge and experience with AS9100 quality management system requirements
- Knowledge and experience with Part 21 requirements in aerospace manufacturing or certification environment
- Familiarity with aerospace quality standards and customer requirements
- Experience with root cause analysis tools and corrective action methods
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and quality-related documentation systems
