Quality Engineer

About This Role

This Quality Engineer role focuses on reviewing product quality throughout the manufacturing process, taking accountability for the quality of their own work. The role operates within a well-defined framework, following a step-by-step sequence of standard operational tasks to achieve results.

Responsibilities

• Verify conformance to specification by measuring and testing during in-house manufacturing
• Perform incoming goods control, product inspections, and witness points to control quality for items from external suppliers
• Develop conceptual knowledge of professional discipline, potentially including support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in a broad area
• Apply general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience
• Understand how work of own team contributes to the area
• Resolve issues using established procedures
• Consult supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters
• Collaborate with others to solve issues
• For customer-facing roles, develop strong customer relationships and serve as the interface between the customer and GE Vernova
• Exchange technical information, ask questions, and check for understanding

Requirements

• Basic experience in Manufacturing & Production Quality Control
• Knowledge level comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience)
