About the role

We are seeking a Quality Control Engineer to support quality initiatives within a manufacturing environment producing electronic assemblies and related products. This individual will help maintain product quality, improve manufacturing processes, analyze quality data, develop testing methods, and ensure compliance with internal and external standards. The ideal candidate is an early to mid-career engineer with 3-5 years of experience, a strong technical aptitude, quality experience in a manufacturing environment, and a proactive, continuous improvement mindset. Responsibilities:

• Support quality control activities for raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.

• Review and maintain PFMEAs, Control Plans, work instructions, and other quality documentation. • Analyze inspection and production data to identify trends, investigate issues, and implement corrective actions.

• Verify products comply with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

• Assist in developing and improving inspection methods, testing procedures, and quality processes.

• Review PCBAs, circuit boards, wire harnesses, and other assemblies for compliance with design requirements.

• Support ISO 9001, DFARS, and other quality and regulatory compliance activities.

• Maintain inspection records and quality documentation.

• Partner with engineering and production teams to drive continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.

• 3+ years of quality engineering, quality control, manufacturing engineering, or related experience.

• Experience supporting quality processes in a manufacturing environment.

• Understanding of electronic assemblies, PCBAs, circuit boards, or similar products.

• Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.

• Experience with root cause analysis, problem solving, and corrective actions.

• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel or similar data analysis tools.

• Experience using quality inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, or CMMs.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and production teams.

• Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Electrical Engineering degree.

• Experience in electronics manufacturing, PCBAs, circuit boards, or wire harnesses.

• Six Sigma Green Belt or other continuous improvement training.

• Experience with ISO 9001, DFARS, or defense/aerospace manufacturing requirements.

• Experience with Minitab, TrackVia, Oracle, or MRP systems.

• Experience developing manufacturing test methods and quality processes.
