Quality Assurance Officer

About This Role

This Quality Assurance Officer role supports the Quality Manager in the daily running of the office and ensures adherence to quality and hygiene standards within a luxury airline catering production unit. The position involves conducting audits, monitoring food safety plans, and training staff to maintain high-quality control measures.

Responsibilities

• Support the Quality Manager in the daily running of the office
• Conduct daily goods-in tasks as outlined by the QA Supervisor and Manager
• Carry out Hygiene Audits
• Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly GMP Audits, raising non-conformances and following up on them
• Implement and monitor PRP, OPRP, and HACCP plans for entire operations, report deviations, and take corrective actions
• Perform verification of all HACCP paperwork, ensuring it is kept up to date
• Monitor CCP's and temperature records
• Oversee the maintenance of traceability systems
• Support Airline Specific verification checks in the flight assembly area, dry stores area, and in-bound area
• Prepare samples for finished product microbiological testing and taste
• Oversee and check all chillers and dry stores within production and the warehouse, including FIFO, batch codes, expiry dates, and allergen segregation
• Perform verification checks of team members' personal hygiene in high-risk and high-care areas
• Provide regular Quality Assurance reports to enable corrective actions and illustrate the effectiveness of the company's food safety and food quality control measures
• Train and develop production staff on food safety and food quality to equip them to maintain food safety standards within the Operations Department
• Investigate customer complaints and submit detailed reports to QA Supervisors and QA Manager
