As a Quality Assurance Engineer for Supply Chain, you will serve as a vital link between our production goals and our external partners. You will champion product excellence by proactively managing supplier performance, mitigating quality risks, and ensuring that all incoming components meet our high-performance standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) initiatives to ensure seamless integration of new components.
- Conduct rigorous supplier quality audits to verify compliance with industry standards and drive continuous improvement.
- Manage the resolution of non-conforming materials by facilitating root cause analysis (8D) and validating effective corrective actions.
- Collaborate with engineering and sourcing teams to optimize component manufacturability and reduce quality-related risks.
- Monitor and report on key quality metrics, such as PPM reject rates, to drive data-backed decision-making.
- Cultivate strong relationships with suppliers to foster a culture of quality and long-term operational success.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing quality assurance or supply chain management.
- Proficiency in quality management systems, mechanical drawings, and measurement tools.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in root cause analysis methods like 5 Why.
Preferred Skills
- ASQ Certified Supplier Quality Professional (CSQP) designation.
- Experience in the heavy equipment or industrial machinery sector.
- Advanced knowledge of statistical process control and quality software.
