About the role
As a QA/QC Manager, the role will be responsible for supporting the Owner’s Engineer team in overseeing quality assurance and quality control for the Fujairah IWP project, including site supervision, construction monitoring, testing and commissioning, and project close-out activities from a quality documentation perspective. The role will check that EPC Contractor works, documents and deliverables quality are generally aligned with the EPC Contract, project specifications, applicable standards, HSE requirements and Project Company expectations.

Support the Owner’s Engineer team in reviewing and monitoring the EPC Contractor’s quality management arrangements for design, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning activities.

Review and comment on project quality plans, inspection and test plans, method statements, procedures, material submittals and other quality-related documents submitted by the EPC Contractor.

Coordinate with the site supervision team to monitor construction quality, site inspections,material receiving inspections, testing activities and closure of punch items.

Identify quality concerns, non-conformities and recurring issues, and support the Project Company and Owner’s Engineer team in tracking corrective actions through to close-out.

Support review of EPC Contractor progress reports, quality records, inspection reports, test reports and handover documentation from a QA/QC perspective.

Maintain clear QA/QC records, registers and reporting inputs to support monthly project
reporting. -
Coordinate with discipline engineers, HSE personnel, document control and the EPC Contractor to support consistent implementation of project quality requirements.

Assist in monitoring compliance with applicable project specifications, codes, standards, statutory requirements and Project quality procedures.

Participate in relevant site, quality, progress and coordination meetings, and follow up on agreed QA/QC actions with the relevant stakeholders.

Support readiness reviews for pre-commissioning, commissioning, performance testing, reliability testing and project handover from a quality documentation perspective.

Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement activities to improve quality performance during the project lifecycle

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.

Minimum 15-20 years of experience in large industrial or infrastructure projects.

At least 5 years of experience in a QA/QC Manager or similar leadership role.

Proven experience in SWRO desalination or large-scale water treatment projects.

Strong knowledge of desalination processes, equipment, and construction practices.

Experience working on projects in the Middle East, preferably UAE.

Proficiency in project planning and management tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).

Relevant certifications such as PMP or NEBOSH (preferred).

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
