About This Role
This role is for a QA Manager to join the project team of a leading construction company, Stefanutti Stocks Inland, involved in a major multi-disciplinary construction project in South Africa. The manager will be responsible for overseeing and improving quality control and assurance requirements on the contract.
Responsibilities
- Manage and minimize the cost of quality on the contract
- Aid the Quality Managers on the contract in ensuring suitable action plans and solutions are instituted where trends have been identified
- Ensure compliance with the relevant internal and external standards on the contract through regular meetings with Quality Managers, operational heads, and client representatives
- Provide support to the Quality Managers and operations, when necessary, with regards to complying with the relevant project specifications
- Provide technical and system support to operations
- Provide continuous feedback regarding operational issues and assist the Discipline Managers on the contract by providing suitable solutions to rectify non-conformities
- Liaise with the client and all other relevant key role players to establish uniformity and standardization in Quality Control methodologies
- Provide support where required in conjunction with the Quality Managers on the contract regarding critical operational elements and activities
- Manage the planning, monitoring, and improvement of Quality Control and Assurance requirements on the contract
Requirements
- Grade 12/Matric
- Relevant Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or a related field
- ISO 9001: 2015 Awareness
- ISO 9001: 2015 Implementation
- ISO 9001: 2015 Internal Auditor
- Minimum of 5-10 years' operational and system experience within the industry
- Experience in leading a multi-disciplinary quality department on a contract
Nice to have:
- Experience in the ACC digital software
