QA Manager

About This Role

This full-time position ensures the highest standards of quality across manufacturing and logistics operations. The QA Manager develops, implements, and oversees quality assurance strategies that align with company objectives and industry standards, maintaining the company's reputation for excellence and customer satisfaction while driving continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance policies, procedures, and protocols across manufacturing and logistics operations
• Conduct regular inspections, audits, and testing of products and processes to identify non-conformities and areas for improvement
• Manage and train QA teams to ensure consistent application of quality standards and best practices
• Investigate quality issues, root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
• Maintain detailed quality documentation, records, and reports in compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards
• Liaise with production, logistics, and procurement teams to address quality concerns and optimise operational efficiency
• Monitor compliance with ISO standards, certifications, and regulatory requirements
• Conduct internal and external quality audits and manage supplier quality assessments
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality metrics to measure and report on quality performance
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and foster a quality-focused culture throughout the organisation

Requirements

• Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in quality assurance and control within manufacturing or logistics environments
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other relevant standards
• Demonstrated expertise in conducting audits, inspections, and implementing corrective and preventive actions
• Proficiency in quality control tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, or Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Experience managing and developing QA teams with proven leadership and mentoring capabilities
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments
• Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office applications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field (or equivalent professional qualification)
• Certification in Quality Management (such as ASQ CQE or equivalent) is advantageous
• Familiarity with Malaysian regulatory requirements and industry practices is preferred
