About This Role
This managerial role focuses on ensuring product quality and compliance with international safety standards, with a particular emphasis on the toy industry. The QA Manager will oversee certification processes, conduct product testing, and manage supplier quality.
Responsibilities
- Manage product certification and ensure compliance with international safety and regulatory standards, including 3C (China Compulsory Certification) requirements
- Coordinate and handle 3C certification processes, testing submissions, documentation, and renewal follow-ups
- Conduct product testing and liaise with internal teams, third-party laboratories, and certification bodies
- Maintain and update the product testing and certification database
- Perform quality and safety evaluations according to product specifications and regulatory requirements
- Propose and implement improvements to enhance product quality and compliance
- Develop and issue QC specifications; communicate with China factories for functional and quality verification
- Monitor and manage suppliers' quality performance, including pre-shipment inspections
- Follow up on factory audits, corrective action plans, and compliance improvements
- Conduct prototype assembly and perform minor modifications when necessary
Requirements
- Higher Diploma or Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in the toy industry, educational products, toy laboratory, or compliance field
- Solid knowledge of international toy safety standards (e.g., EN71, ASTM F963, CPSIA, ISO8124, etc.)
- Familiar with 3C (China Compulsory Certification) requirements and application procedures
- Experience in handling product certification documentation and regulatory submissions
- Proficient in MS Excel; experience in database management is an advantage
- Strong analytical skills with good numerical sensitivity
- Proactive, detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work independently
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Mandarin is required
