QA Engineer

About This Role

This entry-level professional role involves developing and implementing methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection to ensure product quality. The QA Engineer designs and installs testing equipment, performs product analysis, and collaborates with cross-functional teams and suppliers to maintain quality levels and minimize defects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing, and inspection
• Design and install sophisticated testing equipment
• Perform product testing and analysis to maintain quality levels and minimize defects and failure rates
• Analyze reports and defective products to determine trends and recommend corrective actions
• Collaborate with supplier representatives on quality problems
• Ensure effective corrective actions are implemented and contribute to supplier quality improvement programs
• Establish quality standards for products and processes and suggest modifications to prevent defects
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product design, product management, and production, to identify and mitigate quality risks
• Audit production processes, raw materials, or suppliers/vendors to ensure established quality standards are met
• Conduct root cause analysis for defects, non-conformities, or other quality failures
• Ensure compliance with formal external quality standards, such as ISO 9001

Requirements

• Associate's Degree and 0-3 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education and/or Experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
