About the role
We are looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer with 6+ years of experience in software testing and automation, with strong hands-on expertise in Playwright, Python, API Testing, and CI/CD.
The ideal candidate should have experience designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks for modern web applications, automating UI, API, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end test scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright and Python.
- Develop automated UI, functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end test cases.
- Perform web application automation across multiple browsers and devices.
- Develop and execute REST API automation/testing using Playwright API, Postman, or similar tools.
- Validate API requests/responses, JSON/XML payloads, status codes, schemas, and authentication mechanisms.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.
- Analyze automation failures, identify defects, perform root-cause analysis, and support defect resolution.
- Perform SQL/database validation to verify data integrity and backend processes.
- Develop reusable automation components using frameworks such as PyTest/POM.
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, business analysts, and product teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Manage defects and test execution using tools such as Jira, Xray, Zephyr, or Azure Test Plans.
- Contribute to improving test coverage, automation efficiency, and overall quality engineering practices.
- Exposure to AI-powered testing/GenAI testing tools is an added advantage.
