QA Analyst

About This Role

This QA Analyst role involves performing analytical testing to ensure food safety and quality compliance for finished goods, in-process items, and equipment. The analyst will use approved laboratory techniques and complex calculations to deliver accurate results promptly, supporting continuous improvement efforts.

Responsibilities

• Perform Pre-Operational Inspections
• Perform perfect package checks on applicable production lines and report any issues to QA management
• Verify food safety preventive controls are in place and operating properly
• Support and educate team members on food safety responsibilities and good manufacturing procedures
• Conduct data analysis to identify trends and patterns
• Lead continuous improvement efforts and projects
• Perform microbiological swabs as needed
• Place all non-conforming products on hold, troubleshoot and work with leadership to investigate, determine root cause, and identify non-conforming product range
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of production lines and process flows to troubleshoot production issues with appropriate parties to minimize downtime
• Identify areas to reduce waste, rework, and other inefficiencies with a focus on continuous process improvement
• Perform Internal Audits of facility, process and programs
• Act as a backup to Quality Technicians as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
• Ability to speak effectively with groups of employees throughout the organization as this position requires routinely writing reports and corresponding to all levels of plant personnel
• Ability to stand for extended period of time
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds at a time without aid
• Due to SQF regulations, all employees must be able to fluently read, write, and converse in the English language

Nice to have:

• 3-5 years of manufacturing quality assurance experience in a highly regulated environment such as food or pharmaceutical manufacturing
• HAACP training
