About This Role
This Software Quality Assurance Analyst role focuses on validating software quality and production readiness by translating business requirements into test strategies, executing comprehensive testing, and providing quality insights. The position emphasizes an AI-first quality engineering mindset, utilizing Generative AI, Testing Agents, and automation to accelerate test design and execution, improve coverage, streamline defect investigation, and enhance quality insights. The analyst collaborates with Product, Development, Data, and Business teams to ensure requirements are met, risks are identified early, and software releases are delivered with confidence, quality, and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Review business, functional, and technical requirements to ensure clarity, completeness, and testability
- Design, author, maintain, and execute test scenarios, test cases, test suites, and related test artifacts within Azure DevOps (ADO), ensuring end-to-end traceability between requirements, tests, defects, and releases
- Execute functional, integration, system, regression, exploratory, and data validation testing as appropriate
- Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects in a clear, reproducible manner through resolution
- Analyze test results and defect trends to identify risks, recurring issues, and opportunities to improve testing processes, automation coverage, and overall quality engineering effectiveness
- Create, configure, and leverage AI-powered Testing Agents, reusable Skills, and Generative AI tools to support requirements analysis, test design, test data generation, defect investigation, documentation, and quality insights while applying appropriate human oversight and validation
- Proactively communicate project status, quality risks, dependencies, and issues to stakeholders and leadership
- Monitor and manage assigned work items, testing activities, and release deliverables to ensure timely execution
- Produce accurate, actionable, and timely test reports, quality metrics, and release readiness assessments
- Effectively prioritize and execute work in fast-paced Agile delivery environments with competing priorities
- Research and evaluate emerging testing technologies, AI capabilities, quality engineering practices, and industry trends to continuously improve testing outcomes
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in development or QA
- Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) for test case management, defect tracking, execution, and reporting
- Experience leveraging Generative AI, AI-powered Testing Agents, and reusable Skills, or similar AI-assisted technologies within the software development and testing lifecycle
- Experienced in functional test design, execution, and analysis
- Thorough understanding of development and testing life cycles (SDLC/STLC)
