About This Role
Developing, testing, and maintaining scalable software applications is the core of this Python Developer role. The position suits a skilled and motivated developer with strong knowledge of Python programming, backend development, REST APIs, databases, and software development best practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain efficient, reusable, and scalable Python applications
- Build and maintain backend services using Django, Flask, or FastAPI
- Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs with internal and external applications
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases to manage, retrieve, and optimize application data
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs, performance issues, and production errors
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code following established coding standards
- Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, project managers, and other team members
- Perform unit testing, participate in code reviews, and maintain application quality
- Integrate third-party services, libraries, and APIs based on business requirements
- Participate in requirement analysis, technical discussions, development planning, and sprint activities
- Maintain technical documentation and support application deployment and maintenance
Requirements
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience in Python development
- Strong proficiency in Python, including object-oriented programming, data structures, and exception handling
- Experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB; writing SQL queries and database optimization
- Experience developing, integrating, and consuming RESTful APIs
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSON
- Hands-on experience with Git and GitHub or GitLab
- Experience with unit testing, debugging, and frameworks such as PyTest or unittest
- Basic knowledge of Linux, Docker, cloud platforms, and application deployment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, or a related field
- Equivalent practical experience and relevant technical skills may also be considered
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
