About the role
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. (non-negotiable)
- Very High. Python Developer (3-5 years, FastAPI, API development, OpenAPI/Swagger) (non-negotiable)
- Strong experience developing REST APIs using FastAPI. (non-negotiable)
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles, API versioning, and exception/error handling. (non-negotiable)
- Hands-on experience with:
o Docker (non-negotiable)
o Docker Compose (multi-container environments) (non-negotiable)
o Containerization concepts (Docker, EKS) (non-negotiable) (non-negotiable)
· Experience working in enterprise software development environments, including:
o AWS (non-negotiable)
o CI/CD pipelines (AWS CodePipeline and CodeDeploy) (non-negotiable)
o Coding standards and secure development practices (non-negotiable)
o Version control using Bitbucket (non-negotiable)(non-negotiable)
o Code review processes (non-negotiable)
- Strong experience of relational and NoSQL databases: (non-negotiable)
- PostgreSQL (non-negotiable)
- MongoDB+Kafka or any alternative implementation for a near real-time data pipeline/streaming for large data sets. (non-negotiable)
- CI/CD and Test-driven Development (non-negotiable)
- Intermediate SQL background (MySQL, Postgre, Redshift) (non-negotiable)
- Basic to intermediate experience/familiarity with AI system development concepts (langchain, RAG, AI Security/Guardrails, observability) (non-negotiable)
- Experience implementing API security using: (non-negotiable)
o JWT
o OAuth2
Preferred Skills
- Experience working in the banking, financial services, or fintech industry is highly preferred.
- Basic to intermediate AWS knowledge (certification not required)
- Good understanding of secure coding principles and application security best practices.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience integrating with enterprise systems and third-party APIs is an advantage.
