About This Role

This purchasing role is key to ensuring that the company's manufacturing operations have the necessary materials at the right time and cost. It involves negotiating with suppliers, managing inventory records, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. The role suits a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and communication skills who thrives in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Purchase materials for production, engineering, and other departments on purchase order
• Source materials, negotiate price, delivery, specifications, and quantity with suppliers
• Handle all assigned planned orders with a start date on or before the current date, based on planner IDs
• Maintain accurate inventory records and evaluate suppliers based on performance and financial stability
• Ensure all PO dates in MAX reflect the most recent agreement with the vendor and address any overdue order daily as displayed on the PO dispatch report

Requirements

• 2-3 years of purchasing experience, preferably in the manufacturing sector
• Knowledge of MRP system
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Positive and constructive attitude and the ability to manage a range of priorities
• Detail-oriented and able to learn tasks quickly
